PHRD6502
The PHRD6502 is a dual-channel linear re-driver that supports baud rates up to 28Gbaud (NRZ). It serves as a high-gain amplifier with input CTLE and output linear emphasis to counteract losses in connectors and PCB traces. In modern data centers, DACs (Direct Attach Cables) are widely used between switches, servers, and inter-rack connections. However, as high-data-rate signals travel through traces, signal integrity diminishes due to trace loss and inter-symbol interference. This linear equalizer compensates for these losses, enabling traditional DACs to cover longer distances, which aligns with the demanding Distance/Price requirements of modern hyper-scale data centers. Additionally, the PHRD6502 boasts low power consumption with a single 3.3V supply, thanks to its ultra-low-power architecture, dual-lane implementation, and compact package size (1.93mm x 2.73mm 35-ball CSP), offering placement flexibility within DAC connectors.
