The PHX3D3011C is a high-speed VCSEL laser driver designed specifically for Time-of-Flight (ToF) applications, with the added benefit of being compatible with LED driver mode. Utilizing proprietary output equalization technology, this driver is capable of generating optical pulses with exceptional rise and fall times (Trise and Tfall) up to 300MHz. The chip boasts an LVDS-input, significant tunable equalization, duty-cycle tunability, and low power consumption, particularly in deep-sleep mode. Furthermore, it features eye-safety error detections and can operate with a wide range of VCSEL packages. Key highlights include its excellent high-frequency performance with a maximum frequency of 300MHz, SPI-based control that requires only RX's LVDS and SPI control (APC & ACC), and advanced driver tuning options such as duty cycle, propagation-delay, ripple control, and EQ. The PHX3D®3011C supports both ToF and LED modes, with a max drive current of 4.2A. It also includes various abnormality detection modes, a 10-bit lower-limit (diffuser-removal) and upper-limit (skin-safety) PD threshold, a 10-bit temperature sensor, and a 3-wire SPI interface. Packaged in a WLCSP, the chip operates with a supply voltage range of AVCC33 = DVCC33 = 3.0V to 3.6V, LDVCC = 3.0V to 5.0V, and VCC18 = 1.65V to 1.95V.
